About
me

I
am a graduate of the Lauterstein-Conway Massage School 550 hour
training program which includes Structural Bodywork, Deep Massage,
Sports, Swedish, and Shiatsu. I also have 7 years of experience
in energy work and additional training in Reflexology and Lymphatic
Drainage. In addition to my private practice, I provide services
in the spa of a luxury hotel. I may also be found giving on-site
chair massage in corporate settings or at the Roller Derby (www.txrd.com).
Besides
massage, I have a complementary career in anthropology working for
the Kalahari Peoples Fund (www.kalaharipeoples.org).
KPF is an Austin based non-profit benefitting the San (Bushmen)
of the Kalahari Desert in Namibia and Botswana. You may be familiar
with this group from the 1980 film, "The Gods Must Be Crazy".
My research interests center on the healing tradition of this culture,
but I am also responsible for technical aspects of a language preservation
and revitalization project in the community.
